Hi all

I have an update on this. The roof has been added and the beginning of the weathering started.

Oil paints have been used to start the rusting process. Pigments and more oils will be used once the roof sign, chimneys etc are added.

Wes

Now that the majority of the work on the main structures is done, im moving on to the next structure.

You get a bag of scale lumber and 4 laser cut walls to start. Lets see where this goes.

And Wes, post the pics like this - easier on old eyes and lazy fingers.

Quick tutorial. See the pic.

Currently you are adding pictures via the little P indicated by the red arrow. I don't particularly like this option because it is similar to Flicker, Photobucket, et al. Once you load a picture via them they own your copy write meaning, they own YOUR photo and can do with it whatever they like.

Rather click on the little + (green arrow) and load it up that way.

Now you own your picture and are just displaying it to us.

A little bit of "home work" in that your pictures must not be too big/large (makes for awkward reading of the pages and storage becomes a an issue to me).

As it says, single largest picture allowed is less than 500kb or a single post can contain 5 pictures but the total must be less than 1000kb (roughly a meg in size).

Makes sense?

(edit)

Wanted to mention:

The red arrow is a nice feature - click on it to be notified about any responses to your thread

The green arrow is to add to your pictures

The blue arrow is to add more option for  file uploads to a max of 5

Thanks ED

Built up the sign for the roof of the main structure last night.

The wood is distressed with a wire brush
Its then lightly sanded to get rid of the fuzzy bits
I then stain it with a variety of chalks to give the wood a more aged appearance.
Final weathering(rust streaks etc) will be added once its placed on the roof.

Pic for size reference

Hi guys

Wall number 1 initial construction and weathering is done.

This building is going to have a removable roof with fully detailed interior and lighting.
